Cannot implicitly convert System.Collections.Generic.List to

I have this code as shown in the diagram below:

and I have this error

Cannot implicitly convert type 'System.Collections.Generic.List' to 'BPP.CCSP.Admin.Web.ViewModels.AdminVM.CountriesViewModel'

Please how do I resolve it.

Hi Mike,

You are getting this error because the return type of your method is CountriesViewModel and the variable that you are returning - listofCountries is of type List.
Hence the compiler is throwing an implicit type conversion error

Please change your return type to List

sir I think contriesviewmodel is a class that you return .But you return a list of object

CREATED_DATE = countryItem.CREATED_DATE,
DELETED_BY = countryItem.DELETED_BY,
DELETED_DATE = countryItem.DELETED_DATE,
