cannot implicitly convert type 'string' to 'system.web.httppostedfilebase' getting error in mvc 5

var strFilePath = System.IO.Path.GetFileName(imgphoto);

this one is ok in understand.

but postedFiles = System.IO.Path.GetFileName(imgphoto).ToString();

you assign same postedFiles variable store data cannot create another variable.

use HttpPostedFileBase postedFiles alerdy create variable.

Okay got the issue
postedFiles = System.IO.Path.GetFileName(imgphoto).ToString();
In this line GetFileName return string where PostedFiles is a object of HttpPostedFileBase so in place of this you have tore it in another string variable
var strFilePath = System.IO.Path.GetFileName(imgphoto);
Also it returns a string so no need to convert ToString

Actually I am using fileupload control choose select images first time select images insert into database fine no issues.

but second time not select fileupload control I retrieve datatable to database. My requirement some fields update so I already insert fileupload control.
