Change the Color of the Button

have you tried downloading service packs 1 & 2 for compact framework as I know for sure that one of them fixes a similar problem with label backcolor so there might be fixes for the button

for color of your button, you cud check the properties of the button for "BackColor" and for the image, check the property 'Image'
