Character Problem

Hi everybody. I have a big problem with javascript. When i pressed i character by my keybord, the ascii equivalent of i comes as 222 not 73. As you know ascii equivalent of i character is 73 not 222. Because of this i have a earch problem in my combobox. Please help..

You need to clarify whether you are using decimal or hexadecimal. The following shows a few characters and their corresponding values.

Character Decimal Hexadecimal

i 105 69

I 73 49

s 115 73

_ 95 5F

Well the I character number is 73. the i character is actually 105. http://www.asciitable.com/

You also might want to check to make sure you are setting it from a char to number right and vise versa.
