Characters and year with Auto increment number.

I want to make a unique ID code for example: TRSVDSI-16-0001.

"TRSVDSI" is permanent, "16" is the last 2 digit of the current year and "0001" is the auto increment number.

Whenever I add new client, its client code should be

TRSVDSI-16-0002

TRSVDSI-16-0003

TRSVDSI-16-0004 and so on...

please give me some vb.net codes on your mind that can guide me making my unique id code. Thank you in advance.

Thank you for your codes sir, my only problem now is how to save the output to my database, when I will try to view the info using another form, it will show the basic one, like 1,2,3,4 and so on, not my desired one.

Based on my codes, the values showing intxtClientNo.Text is only 1,2,3,4 and so on every time i add new client, what I wanted sir is instead of 1 or 2 or 3, I wanted to change it toTRSVDSI-16-0001, next client will have the id code ofTRSVDSI-16-0002 and the next isTRSVDSI-16-0003 and so on.
but for now, the value show is txt.ClientNo.Text is only 1.
