Hi guys,

I want to save the data from textbox when i check the check box using Jquery ajax in asp.net.

Hi,

Sorry forgot to add document.ready function. Please see below updated code:

$(document).ready(function () {
   // On check of checkbox sending AJAX request to servert
   $('#inactivelist').change(function () {

      var postData = { "name" : $("#txtName").val()};

      // Send Ajax request to save
      $.ajax({
         url: 'WebForm1.aspx/GetEmpList',
         data: JSON.stringify(postData),
         type: 'POST',
         contentType: 'application/json',
         dataType: 'json',
         success: function (result) {
         alert(result.d);
         }
      });
   });
});

Make sure you have following:
Add jquery source(.js) to your file.
Control ID attribute should match with javascript code.

As per your requirement please add below code:

In Javascript
Assume that inactivelist is ID of checkbox and txtName is id of textbox.

   $.ajax({

      dataType: 'json',

});
