checkbox issue ? part -2

I addition to my previous post

Well i have selected say 'n' checkboxes .. under button_click i need to write a logic to update status value as 1 for Checked ones and remaining should left undisturbed .

Well how to write a dynamic code so upon user selection of n number of checkboxes i need to upadate back to db ..

You're not too far away with that. Try this instead:

protected void Button1_Click(object sender, EventArgs e)
{
con.Open;
cmd.Connection = con;
int i = 1;

while(i < 36)
{
CheckBox cb = (CheckBox) this.FindControl("checkbox" + i);

if (cb.Checked)
{
cmd.CommandText = "update sestinfo set status=1 where seatno=" + i.ToString();
cmd.ExecuteNonQuery();
}

i++;
}

con.Close();
}

The following version should keep going until it fails to find the next checkbox:

protected void Button1_Click(object sender, EventArgs e)
{
con.Open;
cmd.Connection = con;
int i = 1;

while(true)
{
CheckBox cb = this.FindControl("checkbox" + i) as CheckBox;
if (cb == null) break;
if (cb.Checked)
{
cmd.CommandText = "update sestinfo set status=1 where seatno=" + i.ToString();
cmd.ExecuteNonQuery();
}

i++;
}

con.Close();
}

Humm came close just becoz of your previous code :)

Anyway is there any way to set the value 36 to dynamic i.e if i have 35 checkboxes then it is fine if i have 50 means i need to change it .. ''

any ideas?/

Any suggestions and here also load is more right ... any best way is appreciated
