China to Japan

1. Go to Google Maps.
2. Go to "Get Directions".
3. Type China as your starting location & Japan as your ending location.

I don't understand most of the directions but if I understand the 42nd (or 43rd) direction (use Jet Skis) then that mode of transportation seems unusual; is that typical for that part of the world? Is it due to the Chinese or Japanese government?

Note that I get the same results if the directions are for going Japan to China, except the use of Jet Skis varies as either item 42 or 43.
