Column Values Pronouncing same then y or n

I am supporting to one e governence project in telugu language and names are in english. My requirement is if names are matchning status is 'Y' else 'N' , i have used Difference () function but the result is not accurate as expected. How can we acheive it?

B DEEPTHI	y	B.Deepthi
GURRAM HIMA BINDU	y	Gurram Himabindu
S SINDHU	y	S. Sindhu
Y PRUDVI KRISHNA	y	Y. Prudvi Krishna
YERRAYAMMA NANGIREDDY	n	Nahgireddy Simhadri
yerrayamma pittala	y	Pittala Errayamma
Yerrayamma seedari	n	Seedhari Lovaraju

Your can try below ,
1. Remove all other characters except alphabets from the name.
2.Convert string to UPPER/LOWER and compaire the string.
3.Match the number of char count from source and target name.

I hope so.
