You use Text DataType in Postgres.

I think Postgres doesn't have varchar(max) like SQL. You can use text or varchar without length restriction(unlimited varchar).

In Case to store larger data, you can use varchar(max) instead of Text.

The VARCHAR(MAX) data type is a replacement for a TEXT data type.

Advantage:

LIKE statement is identical between the two data types.

Additional functionality = and GROUP BY can’t be used in TEXT data type but it can be on VARCHAR(MAX) data type
