Consuming Webservice

Hi All

I am new with web services.

I have been given url like http://www.sazi.com?name=sazi& surname=nyathi and response is xml format. I am not sure that this a valid web service and I do not how are i am going to call this url. From what I know web service expose method to call so that i create proxy classic since it is url with query string i am not sure Please assist

Normally the proxy file will be given by the service provider or you should create by pointing the respective webservice. In your case you are calling a page, which return a xml as a reponse. I just want to confirm, are you really call a web service? Have you coded any thing, if so share that one also. It will use to give a quick solution

I am going to consuming using c# language.
Can you please confirm that is it possible to consume web service using this urlhttp://www.sazz.gov.za/pswebsearch.php?idnumbers=7509115S35084&user=Sipho.
because this url to me is php page where they just append the query string

First of all in order to call the web method, you should refer the web service's proxy in your project/class. Also you should add some configuration elements in your web.config file, which gives some details about the web service address etc. check that you have followed these steps otherwise let us know.

If you are facing proxy problem ,so you need to enable proxy in web.config file.
