Controls go missing!!!

OK, This is the first time I am encountering something as bizarre as this...I  have a windows forms application project. And one fine day when i was still in the process of coding, I got a message like "Could not access the property 'Data Bindings'......" after which the controls completely disappeared from 2 of my forms.  The specification for the controls is intact in the Form.Designer.cs page but they are not VISIBLE in the design area, as a result of which my work is paralyzed.
