Could not create a new page layout in sharepoint online site

Hi,

I created an e3 trial sharepoint site.I was creating pagelayouts using design manager but got error like sorry, u dont have access though I created the tenant site and I am site coll. admin still im facing the Access issue. Can anyone help me in this.

Hi Swetha, Not Site collection Administrator, i told about SharePoint Administrator role from the Microsoft 365 Admin Center, this role will give you a high previlage in SharePoint Online. So that you can issolate your issue .. To add a role -> login to Microsoft 365 Admin Center -> Under users -> Active Users -> Seelct your ID -> and select roles

Can you assign SharePoint Administrator role to your ID and then try to create Page layout
