Count Checked checkboxes and add to hidden field in HTML

Hi Folks ,

Could you please let me know how to count checked check boxes in Jsp and then add total check count to JSP hidden field as input.

To Count the Checked Boxes:
alert(document.querySelectorAll('input[type="checkbox"]:checked').length);
