create a dictionary from a text file and display it

Here's a simple example.

First create this text file, capitals.txt, without leaving any blank lines:

Canada|Ottawa

England|London

France|Paris

Germany|Berlin

India|New Delhi

Italy|Rome

Japan|Tokyo

USA|Washington, D.C.

Now compile and run this console application:

using System.Collections.Generic;

using System.IO;

class Program

{

static void Main()

{

string[] lines = File.ReadAllLines("capitals.txt");

Dictionary dict = new Dictionary();

foreach(string line in lines)

{

string[] items = line.Split('|');

As expected, the output is:
