Hi Dipa, A view is a virtual table based on the result-set of an SQL statement. A view contains rows and columns, just like a real table. The fields in a view are fields from one or more real tables in the database. Views can join and simplify multiple tables into a single virtual table. For example if the table consists of employee's name, gender, Id, salary column respectively. I want to give access to my accountant team about the employee details whose salary more than 50000 without exposing the salary details. I can create the view with the required details and then the access can be given to the accountant team. Not need to create seperate table for this. CREATE View Employeelist AS SELECT NAME, GENDER FROM [assignment].[dbo].[EMPLOYEE] WHERE SALARY>40000

View is a virtual table. It is logical structure of the table it will used to retrieve data from one or more table. Create View: CREATE VIEW emp_view AS SELECT empid, empname FROM emp WHERE empid>5; select * from emp_view Drop view: Drop view view_name;
