Creating a GUID automatically

Maybe I made the field wrong,
"ID UniqueIdentifier NOT NULL"
When i tried to insert a recod into the table, i thought the value would generate automatically. it instead threw an error saying a null value was inserted.

For auto incrementation select the column name go to column properties and make the identity specification as 'Yes'the identity increment and identity seed will become automatically 1. Now everytime you insert a new record the column value will increment by one.
