i have a button which is a picture of a new icon. i need to click it and it to come up clearing my richTextBox1 or text files reloaded. my button clicked is 1. if(buttonClicked == 1) ; cheers 4 any help

You said your wanting to clear your rich text box when you click the button? All you would need to do is just call the Clear method of the text box object. Let me know if this is what your wanting to do.
