Creating a new Web App in Visual Studio

All, I am teaching myself to write HTML and I use Visual Studio 2008; my default language is C#. My question is when I create a new Project should I choose "Web" under the C# language or something other. When I have chosen "Web" I get a choice of .ASP templates.

Hi,

Yes, you are right, you can use the web site or web application after selecting the c#, there is slight difference between the web application and web site. you can use any of them, but if you want the difference from the below link.

Thank you Arshad. I will review the link you provided. My end goal in learning HTML is to create UIs for an existing web application, a Warehouse Management System (WMS). Thanks again.
