Console applications can be useful for learning EF. For educational purposes console applications can be easier. CRUD is not convenient in console applications but there is much to learn that would be worthwhile knowing before learning CRUD. There are many useful tutorials, you can also look in the Microsoft documentation. I know there is at least one Microsoft tutorial about creating a CRUD application in an ASP.Net website using EF. It uses a Visual Studio template to do it.
