K...Encryption is a process that we can used to hide our message or text into unreadable format.The opposite prosses to get the original message as it named as Decryption.
For encrypion and decrption we may using various Algorithms and keys to changes into plain and cipher text.

For the Encryption and decryption we may use various methods like for example only Caesar Cypher.There's too another methods also available in this

   Symmentric Encryption
   Asymmentric Encryption
   Hashing

Encryption Is a Process of Hiding the Plain Text or Converting the Plain text to CypherText. CypherText Is Not generated unless if you use a key. Key is used to Encrypt the File. With the Same Key only the Encrypted files can be decrypted. There are two types of Keys as Public and Private Key. Public means its know to all. anyone can Encryp the file and decrypt the file. Private is between two parties as Sender and Reciever.

Adding to Manikandan you need a key to decrypt the cyper text into plain text.If you dont have a key then you have to use Bruteforce/Dictonary(combination of Key) attack to find out key.
