CSV FILE How do I delete rows with a date that has passed

lemon.txt,2014,1,30

Apple.txt,2014,1,30

orange.txt,2014,1,30

Manas Mohapatra, Thanks for your response, My English is not so good and maybe I was wrong explanation the question I want to delete a row if the - (Year),(Month),(Day)- old date from today Your answer works great if I put the exact date to be deleted The problem is that I do not know always what are the dates written in the file And if I write today's date is not erase the lines with the old date

not so Clean code -:) I got to the situation where comparable dates,
but can not erase those lines with the old date

Try with below code:

List lines = new List();
string line;

System.IO.StreamReader file = new System.IO.StreamReader("D:\\csvFile.txt");
while ((line = file.ReadLine()) != null)
{
lines.Add(line);
}

lines.RemoveAll(l => l.Contains("2014,1,30"));

file.Close();

After removing all filtered records, you need to write back to csv file. Here is the code:

using (System.IO.StreamWriter outfile = new System.IO.StreamWriter("D:\\csvFile.txt")))
{
outfile.Write(String.Join(System.Environment.NewLine, lines.ToArray()));
