custom date time !

i have 2 drop month and year ddlmoth and ddl year

i want date time as (current day - ddlmonth - ddlyear)

for eg 02-05-2019

05 and 2019 will be dropdown selected and 02 will be the current day of the system.

i had tried

but it is giving error as unrecognise time

Hi,

This is not a proper way to handle the custom date in dropdown list because how you are going to handle leap year and day ( 31 is in some month ) ? By mistake if some people have select month as feb and day as 30 or 31 in that case it will create a huge issue in the development. So better to add the validation for leap year,feb and some of the month it contain 31 day.

hey suraj,

the same i used it was working fine but on 31 Dec 2019 i gave error then i changed the code, today again reverted to the previous like how you suggested it working fine again.

You can try this
int year = 2019; //will come from dropdown
int month = 12;  //will come from dropdown
int dates = DateTime.Now.Day; //Current Date in number

DateTime value = new DateTime(year, month, dates);
Here is the practial implementation.
public static void Main(string[] args)
{
     int year = 2019; //will come from dropdown
     int month = 12;  //will come from dropdown
     int dates = DateTime.Now.Day; //Current Date in number


     //Your code for generating date is here.
Console.WriteLine(Convert.ToString(new DateTime(year, month, dates)));
}
