Hi im tying to find a solutions for my project which is a restaurnat based

i need to get the data between 2 date range and and with in 2 time range also

i need to query find a sales details between 2020-01-01 and 2020-01-31

and time in between 22:00 and next day 02:00

im am using sql server 2008 and visual studio 2017

can someone help

Hey, check your time condition. Try this with your time condition.
CAST(BillDate as time(0)) BETWEEN '04:00' AND '22:00'

WHERE CONVERT(date, [BillDate]) BETWEEN '2020-01-19' AND '2020-01-23'
AND CAST(BillDate as time(0)) BETWEEN '22:00' AND '04:00'

Hey, try this
SELECT * FROM YourTableName
WHERE CONVERT(date, [yourdatefield]) BETWEEN '2019-03-24' AND '2019-03-26'
AND CAST([yourdatefield] as time(0)) BETWEEN '15:00' AND '15:40'

fields are

Id Date                             SalesID SubTotal Vat TotalAmount
1     2020-01-01 19:00        1              100           5     105
2     2020-01-02 02:00         2              200           5     210 -- this sales comes under 2020-01-01

likewise

yes date and time are in one field

Hey, what are the fields present in your table?
Is your date field contains both date and time or different for date and time?
