data table filter

I have a data table named it as dt.The table containts Three rows .I want to filter the data table and append the data after filtering to a grid view ,please suggest some ideas.

Accepted answer
You can create a copy of datatable and merge with existing table to append the result to gridview.

var dt= newDataTable(); //assuming dt is filled with rows

Gridview.DataSource=dt;// till now you had done

//creating copy and apply filter
var dt1=dt.Copy ().DefaultView;
dt1.RowFilter ="name = tony"; //your filter criteria

//now merge the tables and it will reflect the result in your gridview.
dt.Merge ((DataTable)dt1);

Thats all you have to do.
