Difference between Asp.Net core and .net core. Please let me know

.NET= Developers platform means an ecosystem for developers. (Theoretical concept). Which needs implementation. Now there were 4 implementations of .NET earlier (Now all 4 are merged or better term is unified) .NET Framework. .NET Core Xamarin/Mono UWP Now we need some actual workloads to develop an application. These workloads or people also call them application framework are;- Winforms ---> which can target both .NET Framework and .NET Core. If you develop a desktop app (Winforms APP) by selecting .NET Framework then it will run on windows only. If you develop a desktop app (Winforms APP) by selecting .NET Core then it will run on every OS like linux etc.. ASP.NET :- It is another workload for web development but targets only .NET Framework which means any ASP.NET application can only be hosted on windows platform (Windows as OS and IIS as web server) ASP.NET Core :- It is another workload for web development but targets .NET Core which means any ASP.NET Core application can be hosted on any platform like (Windows with IIS), Linux with Apache etc. There are other workloads that I dint discuss as were irrelevant to your question. for a detailed explanation follow my article https://www.sharpencode.com/article/ASPNETCore/introduction-to-net-core

ASP .Net core is new version of the ASP.NET web framework which runs on . NET Core platform. ASP.NET CORE: Asp.net core framework is mainly used to build a cloud based web applications on windowows,mac and linux. it is a modular framework that runs on both .net framework and cross platform .Net core. It supports Inbuild dependency injection. High performance than Asp.net. We can host the Asp.net core application not only on the IIS but also use self hosting or using the ngix server for hosting. Razor page is recommanded to create application using Asp.net core.We can use MVC,Webapi,SignalR .NET CORE: .Net core which is an opensource platform created by microsoft and .net community.It can supports windows,linux and mac os. Which is used to build cloud and web based appication. Runs with much lower number of server/virtual machine. It is much better for container optimization.the size of its image is much smaller than with .net framework because it is a cross platform we can deploy server apps to docker container.
