Defining custom attribute for an assembly

Just define your custom attribute class as you normally would but decorate it with an AttributeUsage attribute to target an entire assembly:

[AttributeUsage (AttributeTargets.Assembly)]

public class MyAttribute : Attribute

{

// code

}

You can then apply your custom attribute to an assembly using the following syntax (place any parameters within the brackets in the normal way):

[assembly: MyAttribute()]

This attribute should be placed after any using directives but before any type or namespace declarations.
