Deploy to a web host

Hi, I have a few questions about deploying my application to a comercial web hosting company

1- I'm using database first. Where, when and how I configure the production database?

2- About identity, how do I seed the new users?

If you know a tutorial about deploying, I would apreciate!

First, tell me where do you want to host your App? Cloud or Normal hosting (GoDaddy etc).
second, Which hosting plan have you taken Windows hosting (Plesk) or Linux hosting (CPanel).

I would recommend windows hosting if it is your first time hosting, because it will be easier but costly no doubt.
Cpanel will cost you less but is little bit tough to configure.

Also, What is your hosting type:- Shared or Dedicated.
Shared means you don't need to do anything except copying your file to Server, Running your Sql Script on Database, getting connection string and replaing that connection string with your local.

As you are using DB-First, then why are you saying migration??
You just need to copy database sql script and run to your server using mylittlephp Admin or whatever your Hosting provider provides.

so, open SSMS in your Local
Go to task-->Generate Script--> select object--->Advance--->Copy with Data--> Generate.
Then Just run this script in your Production DB and replace the connection string in AppSettings.Production.json

Copy all your file with File Zila or Visual Studio Publish (using FTP) to server and you are all set.

Note:- to publish from VS you need to create an FTP (any provider gives atleast 50 free FTP account) and use the credential of that FTP to publish file to server.

Also, Ask your provider they have built-in support for ASP.NET Core? if yes then above steps are sufficient.
If not then you will need to install ASP.NET Core Hosting Module on Server.

Do you know any tutorial about deployment to a web hosting?
I'm trying to deploy a .net core 5 website with the database... I have no Idea how I seed the data, how I apply the migrations, how I configure the connection string to the production enviroment... I really need some help here!!

You can do in this way, adding migration and seeddata into program main function.

Sample:

Rest of deployment will same as normal like asp.net core application.
