Deployment of console application to other machine

Hi Friends,

I have an console application that is scheduled under task scheduler.I want to do the same on other machine.

When I publish the code it generates some setup files to install.

I have some static files in project like email template that did not come as a part of publish code.

Is there any way to get exe and email template only to deploy in to target machine.

I don not want to copy paste complete code manually.

Arguments apart- becoming learner, I just learnt that, I missed a point of post build events becuase I was focusing on Publish word. You can easly do xcopy /E /Y "$(ProjectDir)$(OutDir)*.*" "YourDirectoryPath" to push Release folder that will include exe and config file.

Nowbody downvoting here.Never think your solution is best.If you publish the console application through VS then you will get an setup files to install but I need to schedule this under task scheduler which require an exe not a setup file.

You used a funny word in your post that you deleted .Be learner dont be a teacher.

As i said earlier,
you would get the exe the moment you publish (knowing you are pushing it using click once), if not please provide the way you are using to publish the app.
Question is : is it really an executable app. If not, then provide the type of project you are trying to publish.
For getting the app.config, please follow as I suggested.

Before downvoting the post, (also this is not a funny post becuase no one has time to post funny on this community ), make sure to comment why you are downvoting the same. That will help me understand the reason and will also help other developers to idenfity the mistakes.

I am not able to get the exe when I publish the code.
As per my understanding I need to copy bin and template folder.
Is there any other way?

If you have added the email tempaltes to the project, you can select that item, go to properties, set "Copy to output directory" to "Copy always" and build the setup again.

You need to add project output to your setup, this will add all your dependency without any manual copy of files

If the template was dependency of the project then it will be added automatically, otherwise you have to copy manually
