And for the record, I don't have anything against anyone getting a good ranking, it wasn't a personal attack on anyone. Dhananjay is a good friend of mine and I only took his name as an example for clarification about rankings. I am happy for him and Vijai as well for making it to the top...in fact they should keep growing more! :)

The link in your opening post is to:
3. Top members based on non-forum activities. Articles, blogs etc.
#2 and #3 should, of course, add up to #1, give or take a few points if the lists were compiled at separate times of the day.

1. Top members overall for all contributions on the site
2. Top members on just Forums. That is based on Forum posts and replies only.
I know this is a problem but the way it is setup is, Forums application is separate than the main CMS. Plus initially, when site was built it was divided into two prizes - Most Valuable Author and Most Valuable Contributor. Then it end up having too much for work site editors and so we combined into one.
That said, we are working on the next version (I am not sure when it will be finished) but that will just be one application for everything.
Cheers!

I was just mentioning ONE example...am sure there are many leaders...the point I was making was only to know the disparity in ranking.

You forget Vulpes and Sam, Leaders in forum Posts.

These points are calculated only on the basis of articles, is it? For example, below is the contributions by Dhananjay, and he has made a large number of articles but few posts:
and here's the contribution made by Amit Chaudhary
Dhananjay got more points on basis of his articles whereas Amit who had made more posts on forums get a low ranking.
