Just read the documentation carefully. The Dictionary Generic Class documentation says the "order in which the items are returned is undefined". The SortedList(TKey, TValue) Class says "sorted by key". Also a SortedList(TKey, TValue) class uses a binary search tree and a Dictionary class uses a hash table. The hash table causes some restrictions on the use of the Dictionary class.
