WebSQL - It is a database based on SQLite which is embedded to browser.
It is deprecated in favour of IndexedDB. It is not available in IE and Firefox.

IndexedDB - It is a flat file Database with Key-Value pairing. It is better than LocalStorage and WebSQL. Browser support is extremely spotty, with only Chrome and Firefox having fully usable implementations. It is available in Chroma and Firefox.
