LEADTOOLS could certainly help you with your conversion from TIFF files to a browser supported MIME type. LEADTOOLS supports conversion to/from 150+ file formats:

If you need assistance desiding on which MIME type to convert to, Wikipedia contains a great chart for showing what MIME types are supported for what browsers:

Using LEADTOOLS, you could build a service in VB.NET, C#, C/C++, Java, Objective C, or Swift for the web page to convert any of the file formats you wish to load into the browser into a browser supported MIME type then simply load that converted file into the browser:

In general, tiff files are not a mime type supported by browsers, so you won’t be able to load them directly. You can convert the tiff files to a common web file format such as png or jpeg on the server before sending it to the viewer using server side code. Depending on the compression used for the TIFFs, sometimes .NET won’t be able to convert it, so if you want to be able to support all the TIFF compressions, you will need some 3rd party library. I did a quick search and it seems like LibTiff and Leadtools can be used to achieve the same.
