how to start as a fresher in dot net world and gain knowledge so that i can make a well career in it according to the need of time

For a absolute fresher the path sould be 1.Practise C# in console (all OOPs concept, C# String,C# Collection etc) 2.Don't Learn webForms , start with MVC (http://www.sharpencode.com) 3.Learn Basic Sql (install SSMS, and practise select query and Joins) 4.Now Create an MVC app with Database using Ado.Net as you know sql. 5.Learn EF and Linq 6.Replace your Ado.Net code with EF and Linq. 7.Learn to secure your app (Authentication and Authorization with OAuth and Identity) 8.Learn to publish on IIS. 9.Now you can go for Azure.

Must understand topics in OOP:- Class - Abstract, Static, etc Strut - When to use class vs struct. Interface - Implicit and explicit implementation. Access modifiers - Private, public, internal, protected, protected internal. Keywords - Static, as, IS, virtual, abstract, out, ref, etc. Constructors - Default, Parametrized, Copy, Private, protected, etc. Inheritance of struct and class, the sequence of constructor calls. Collection and Generics ( List , Arraylist, HashTable, Dictionary , concurrent collections etc. Loops - Foreach/For/While, Switch statements, etc. Try to learn from C# 4.0 to the current version's new feature. Because most of the companies are still using old code bases so better to know about some older syntax as well.
