hello.
how can i drow a rectangle round a textbox when it selected in run time ?

You'll need to handle the TextBox's Enter and Leave events as follows:

private void textBox1_Enter(object sender, EventArgs e)
{
Rectangle rect = textBox1.ClientRectangle;
rect.Inflate(new Size(10, 10));
Graphics g = this.CreateGraphics();
g.DrawRectangle(Pens.Red, textBox1.Left - 10, textBox1.Top - 10, rect.Width, rect.Height);
g.Dispose();
}

private void textBox1_Leave(object sender, EventArgs e)
{
Rectangle rect = textBox1.ClientRectangle;
rect.Inflate(new Size(10, 10));
Graphics g = this.CreateGraphics();
Pen p = new Pen(this.BackColor);
g.DrawRectangle(p, textBox1.Left - 10, textBox1.Top - 10, rect.Width, rect.Height);
p.Dispose();
g.Dispose();
}
