embed file into database

I want to be able to embed a music or image file into database. Files can be in any file extension.

How can I do that? Should i get "file header" for this operation?

thank you so much for help, i could finally succeeded to do that. i saved data in firebird database as blob.

I think you need to store the data as a Binary Large OBject (BLOB).
