Hai all...
I am getting this following error when i try to connect to the database....
An error has ocured while establishing a connection to the server.When connecting to sql server 2005,this failure may be caused by the fact that that under the default settings SQL server 2005 does not allow remote connections.(Providre:Named Pipes Provider,Error:40-could not open a connection to sql server)
Help me please....

Thanks for the reply....
I have done that man..i have googled the prob and found out..so i chnages surface area configuration settings....i have also added an exception in my windows fire wall....
Still the problem persists....help needed badly as i cant even connect to the database........Any related articles would be greatly appreciated.....

Follow the following steps:
Start ->programs ->Microsoft Sql Server 2005 ->configurations tools ->SQl server Surface area configuration -> select surface area configuration for services and connections -> select remote connection -> select local and remote selection -> select using both tcp\Ip and named pipes
