Excel sheet modification

I've searched and read and searched and posted... And I can't find anything useful.

So HOW do you actually interact/create an Excel file? What kind of level of interaction is there? Like, can my app create a pie chart on an Excel sheet using data on another sheet?

Check Office Interop section of this site. Look for articles by Mike Gold on how to create and update Excel using C#. Use Jump to Site link on header and select C# Corner and then Office Interop in the left site.
