Hi, i have a requirement as follows.

You need to define one auto increment id using that id you can check next id which have a not null value

DECLARE @Table TABLE(
ID INT,
Val INT
)
INSERT INTO @Table (ID,Val) SELECT 1, 3
INSERT INTO @Table (ID,Val) SELECT 2, NULL
INSERT INTO @Table (ID,Val) SELECT 3, 5
INSERT INTO @Table (ID,Val) SELECT 4, NULL
INSERT INTO @Table (ID,Val) SELECT 5, NULL
INSERT INTO @Table (ID,Val) SELECT 6, 2
SELECT *,
ISNULL(Val, (SELECT TOP 1 Val FROM @Table WHERE ID < t.ID AND Val IS NOT NULL ORDER BY ID DESC))
FROM @Table t

I created the table with the following structure. The output should come up with select statement only.

CREATE TABLE [dbo].[MissingValue]
(
[Value] [varchar](1) NULL,
[ayValue] [int] NULL
)
GO

INSERT INTO [dbo].[MissingValue](Value,ayValue)
VALUES
('A', 1),
('', 23),
('', 21),
('', 22),
('B', 34),
('', 31),
('', 89),
('C', 222),
('', 10)

Please elaborate more on your requirement:
- Is input data coming from some table? How are you giving the input data?
- Are you expecting this output to be pushed to some table or you just want this to be displayed as part of stored proc?
