Hello Ami, Database calls are costlier, When call database on every textchanged event, you have to bind DatView object onetime then use this object to filter gridview on textchanged event.

yes, as Rajnikant Sir mentioned database calls are costly , so better is to bind your gridview with dataset and then perform filtering , now filtering will be happening in memory so there will be no database calls. ds.Tables[0].DefaultView.RowFilter = Col:value"; GridView1.DataSource = ds.Tables[0].DefaultView; GridView1.DataBind();
