Formatting the file input

Question

Its easy enought to format the textbox component of the file input control. But how do you format the button part?
Even better I would like to place an image button there... is there any way of doing this, or at the very least get rid of the default button style.
Apologies if I have missed something very obvious.
Any help appreciated!
