Thumbs up to Nipun, Manish and Forums team for taking down the "thumbs down" feature.

Last night they fixed following three items.

Disabled thumbs down. So no more haters :)
Do you like this answer check box, change red text to "This is correct answer".
If a user replies a forum post, the email goes to the original poster should have one line at the bottom,
"Your help is needed. If this reply has helped you fix the problem, please mark it as correct answer."

Now focusing on a new editor. We are trying several new editors. Forums are slow b/c the current editor generates a heavy HTML.

Suthish and I think alike in many ways. I have been thinking like Suthish in the sense of community involvement. Certainly the concerns mentioned by Mahesh can be requirements for how to implement something such as what Suthish suggests.

I think that the concern about bugs is the reason why quality code is important. Some developers have less bugs than others. When I was employed as a programmer I usually had very few bugs. My test phase was usually short. Other software such as Yahoo have a reputation for being buggy; their management think that their system is among the most complex in the world and that bugs are inevitable. They just don't understand that buggy software is best fixed by management, not developers but I won't dwell on that here.

One possibility might be to make the editor modular in the sense that each member can choose which editor they use among a few choices. I have some thoughts about that that might be innovative but I should continue with that in a separate thread in a different forum.

Are the editors server-based? Does the editor do a postback or something such as that while editing? If so then I can understand it would be a performance problem.

Thats why i opened this question or idea here. Some of the members have this in mind.

Ok, but still we can have an open source upload. Atleast we can upload our demo projects .

It's a good idea Suthish. But there are two problems.

First problem is managing the project. It's not easy to manage remote people. It will be more like a full-time job for a Project Manager.

Second problem is the major one. Every one in the team must follow some standards and this website is very performance centric. One single line of bad code may crash the site because we have over 150,000 users visit site each day. Every month we are reaching about 3 TB data download.

There is a big difference between writing code for a Website and writing code for a website that has lot of traffic. That is why we have a few key programmers.

I want to give a Thumps Up for these new updations .

Also, I have a suggestion. Everyone likes to make this website looks good and cool.

Why dont' make development of C# Corner open to all members.

Just give a basic idea of what development needed, so we all can create the pages and post to the admins.

If it suits the website best then can uploaded and release it here.

I started a rating system and want to show you people but stopped in between, what if you not interested in this idea.
