Forums vs. Answers

On C# Corner, we had forums and in new version, I am inclined to replace the term "Forums" with "Answers". New Web 2.0 term for forums is Answers as you may have noticed Google Answers, Yahoo Answers, Microsoft Answers and so on.

What do you guys think?

I think vulpes idea to restrict users sending messages is worth consideration.

I think that is a good idea. We won't show the message feature until the user has contributed something.

Talking about spam, I've had several messages lately from 'lonely love-lorn women' including one today from this lady, though the message was different:

I wonder whether it would be a good idea to impose a minimum points score (say 20) before you can send anyone a private message on C# Corner? It ought to stop most of them.

Two days back I Clicked on "Report a Spam" by mistake, but for my surprise the thread got updated as "Spam" without asking for Login Credentials..

Think it's a good idea.

The word 'forum' implies discussion.

Whilst there might be some discussion needed to find the answer, it's answers to the original question that we're ultimately trying to find.

BTW, there's a small bug on the VB.NET Heaven site - 'Answer' rather than 'Answers'.
