get request.header from basic authentication

can anyone help me on how to use request.header to retirieve username and password from basic authentication. the purpose is to retrieve exchange calendar. TQ

Hi Hazel,

string auth= this.httpContext.Request.Headers["Authorization"];
string encodedUsernamePassword = auth.Substring("Basic ".Length).Trim();
Encoding encoding = Encoding.GetEncoding("iso-8859-1");
string userpwd= encoding.GetString(Convert.FromBase64String(encodedUsernamePassword));

O/p = username: password

Seperate the colon and you will get username and password
