Just like Nilesh Shah said your view don't have to know about your database. I will suggest you create a viewmodel to represent all the information you want to access from the view, then from your action in the controller access the database and populate the viewmodel then send to the view.

 

say you have a controller called PersonController and an action called Index with a Index.cshtml view and an entity called Person.  Assuming you want to display the Person's picture and full name in the view, then create a PersonViewModel with two public properties for those information you want then pass an object of the PersonViewModel to the view in the Index action.

I don't understand why do you want an object of dbcontext in view?

 

view should deal with simple model only which has the values needed for the view.
