Global variable initialized when DLL is loaded.

Well, I have tried singleton but I have to release some resources when the dll is unloaded and I do not know how to do that with this pattern.

You can take advantage of singleton class pattern for this. Have it search over the net and do let us know, if you stuck somewhere.

I am using C# net. It is a desktop application with framework .NET 4.7.1.

Actually, I develop C# API which is integrated into another application. I do not have access to the main program.

please mention the technology

if it is asp.net web forms/mvc , then create variable in Application_Start event in global.asax file, so that as soon as app starts your variable gets initialized.
