Graph construction by taking values from database

Hi, I am doing a project where there is a requirement of constructing of a graph where I need to read the values from database and store the result in database.  It will be good if i build an application where graph can be visualized as and when we add or remove edges.....Please help me in suggesting good books or the web site where I can find it.
