Hangfire use which server iis or kernel

Q1. IIS or Kestrel ?

Ans:- You can use hangfre with both ASP.NET MVC and ASP.NET Core MVC, so obviously, host doesn't matter. Both IIS and Kestrel will be fine, depending upon what are you using .NET framework (IIS) or .NET Core (Ketrel + Reverse proxy) or Just Kestrel (Not recommended).

Q2. Without Sql Server

Ans:- Yes, you can use in-memory storage.

public void ConfigureServices(IServiceCollection services)
{
// other registered services
...
services.AddHangfire(c => c.UseMemoryStorage());
}
public void Configure(IApplicationBuilder app, IHostingEnvironment env)
{
// other pipeline configuration
...
app.UseHangfireServer();
app.UseMvc();
}
