help : how to create a thumbnail view

thanks, i will take a look at those examples. I have to load a number of images to a GUI window. For example I have an unknown number of images (may be 20, may be 100) that need to be displayed at a rate of, say 5 in a row. So, if there are 50 images I`ll want to display ten rows each with 5 images. I`d then like to be able to scroll down through the rows. Whats the best way to do this?? You might have guessed that I`m kinda new to this stuff. I was thinking along the lines of a vertically scrollable panel that can display images. But, seeing how the number of rows will change every time I use it, I`m not sure how to approach the placement of images.
