Help Needed with Windows Programming

Question

I need to write scripts / apps which will invoke common Windows Dialogs such as the Map Network Drive box, Task Manager and delete Tasks which are not responding, Invokved Screen Display Properties,Invoking the Internet Options box.. etc. Would C# be the way to tackle this? Or should I be looking at scripting languages ? Any help would be great.
